Copyright and DMCA takedown

Growthegy respects the rights of creators. If something on growthegy.com infringes your copyright, tell us and we will review it.

Send a takedown notice

Email update@growthegy.comwith the subject line "DMCA notice". To be valid under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)), a notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature (a typed full name is fine).
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material you want removed, with the full URL of each page on growthegy.com where it appears.
  4. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

Please be accurate. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), a person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing can be liable for damages. If you are unsure whether a use is infringing, consider getting legal advice first.

What we do with a notice

When we receive a complete notice we review it and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material and tell the person who posted it, if there is one.

Counter-notice

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address with the subject line "DMCA counter-notice". It must include your signature, the material that was removed and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the US, any judicial district in which Growthegy can be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice. We may pass the counter-notice to the original sender and restore the material if they do not start a court action within the period the law allows.

Repeat infringers

We will end access for visitors who are repeatedly found to have infringed copyright, in appropriate circumstances.
