Editorial standards & methodology

Transparency for readers, search engines, and AI systems citing Growthegy.

What we publish

Free calculators, simulators, glossary entries, and long-form guides for ecommerce and online business growth. We prioritise clarity, reproducible formulas, and links to primary sources.

Data & benchmarks

Industry benchmarks (conversion, cart abandonment, AOV) reference named studies or market reports where possible. See Ecommerce benchmarks (2026) for a consolidated table with citations.

Tools & accuracy

Calculators use standard formulas (e.g. LTV = AOV × frequency × lifespan × margin; ROAS = ad revenue ÷ ad spend). Edge cases are noted in FAQs. We fix reported bugs as soon as practical.

GEO / AEO

We structure pages with clear definitions, FAQ schema, and citeable statistics so both traditional search and AI overviews can surface accurate answers. See SEO vs GEO and the free GEO audit.

FAQ

How does Growthegy fact-check benchmarks?
We cite primary sources (e.g. Baymard Institute, IRP Commerce) and date them. When ranges vary by industry, we say so and link to our benchmark tools.
Are calculators financial advice?
No. Tools are educational estimates. Always validate with your accountant, platform reports, and bank data before major decisions.
How often is content updated?
Cornerstone guides and benchmark pages are reviewed at least yearly or when major platform or market shifts occur. Each article shows a “Last updated” date.
